'Luck' Lacquer

Red diamond-shaped Chinese lacquer with intricate symbolic design on both sides. The character in the middle 'Fu' means 'Luck' and surrounding it are bats which in Chinese has the same pronounciation as 'Fu'. At the same time bats are considered auspicious symbols.
